District of Columbia, Department of Transportation (DDOT)
WASHINGTON, DC - - - VANTIX, a premier provider of information technology solutions, program management and training solutions has completed the development of a web-enabled certification and tracking system to automate the work-flow and accounting processes of certification analysts at the District of Columbia, Department of Transportation (DDOT).
VANTIX conceived the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Compliance and Tracking system as a tool for the agency (DDOT) to streamline their certification (SBE) application and review process. The enterprise software application offers: online registration and certification administration workflow, prime-sub vendor payment tracking, contract collusion analysis and integration with supplier management systems. The DDOT DBE tracking and compliance system was created for government and commercial clients grappling with automating or re-engineering any work flow process which is laden with paper, requires access irregardless of geography and convoluted. This proprietary software workflow allows agency analysts to absorb and make sense of large amounts of data, helping them gain insight from information by identifying the relationships amongst people, products, companies, or transactions being sought and provides compliance with DOT standards set forth in 49 CFR Part 23.
In developing DDOT's DBE tracking and compliance system, VANTIX will provide a full range of software development lifecycle services including software development, business process re-engineering, document imaging and workflow analysis as well as network integration services.
"VANTIX has been a unique partner, combining strengths you don't often find in one firm," said Ronnine Edwards, Chief of Civil Rights/Contract Compliance Division in the District of Columbia, Department of Transportation (www.ddot.dc.gov). "From our vision and concept for the DBE Tracking and Compliance System, VANTIX provided us with the software development and program management expertise needed to develop and deliver the finished product and created a superb online presence through the District's main website located at www.ddot.dc.gov.”
"We appreciate working with innovative government agencies like the District of Columbia, Department of Transportation," said Kenya Pittman, President/CEO of VANTIX. "Tools such as DDOT's DBE Tracking and Compliance system will play an increasing role in how government agencies collect, extract, analyze and gain intelligence from a growing universe of changing citizen data," stated Pittman.
